Men in the KitchenThis is a fun informative workshop to increase confidence and learn new skills
Men in the kitchen
This workshop is designed with men in mind who rarely cook and are keen to learn basic skills and techniques. We make easy, tasty dishes from starters to puds – all cooked and presented beautifully – and have some fun too!
All refreshments, equipment, recipes and aprons are provided and you will work individually at your own, fully equipped workstation. We all work together at the same pace with each stage demonstrated before you do it yourself.
The workshop starts promptly at 10am and finishes at 4pm. We will stop and eat as we go along so that you taste everything we cook, but you will have some food to take home with you, so please bring some storage containers.
During the course the emphasis is on using personal taste, judgement and technique rather than slavishly following a recipe. A booklet containing the course recipes will however be provided at the end of the course.
Please note, this workshop is not suitable for vegetarians, it may be suitable for coeliacs. Please email us if you need to know more about the allergens in this course.
It is essential that you wear flat shoes with a closed toe – this is for your safety and comfort as we will be on our feet most of the time.
When booking, please advise of any accessibility issues. Rutland Cookery School is committed to being as inclusive as possible and we will do our utmost to accommodate you. We have an adjustable workstation for those who may need to sit down or are in a wheelchair.
Please read our T & C’s before booking.
