Spanish Cafe GranadaCroquetas jamon, Lomo con Pimientos, Empanada Gallega, Bacalao con Naranja Y Patata and totally authentic & delicicious tapas
Granada City is divided into several quarters including the Albaicin, the old Moorish part of the city. Full of white-washed buildings and steep, narrow cobbled street it is home to pretty squares surrounded by bars and cafes including Arabic tea and kebab shops. For many centuries before the Christian conquest of Granada, the Realejo was the old Jewish quarter of the city. Tucked into the hillside under the Alhambra, it’s a vibrant residential neighbourhood with Campo de Principe (a large square lined with bars and restaurants) at its heart.
This workshop will include a selection of tapas including Berenjenas con miel (aubergine with honey) Migas (fried breadcrumbs with chorizo and fried quail egg) and Salmorejo (chilled tomato soup thickened with bread with crisp Serrano ham). You can expect to prepare yourself a few ‘rations’ or entrée / main dishes:
Croquetas jamon (melt in the mouth ham croquettes)
Lomo con Pimientos (pork with peppers)
Bacalao con Naranja Y Patata (salt cod with orange, warm potatoes and egg)
Empanada Gallega (savoury pastries with chicken)
This workshop starts promptly at 10am and finishes at 4pm. We eat what we make in the morning for lunch but there may still be leftovers to take home, so please bring some storage containers.
